Expression through Dance
An excellent initiative from Darcey Bussell:
“The overuse of computers and social media has meant children are forgetting how to communicate with their bodies and express themselves, Darcey Bussell has warned, as she advocates learning dance to help them show feelings.”
It should be possible for us to express ourselves in all sorts of ways by using our bodies. ‘Express yourself’ does not mean throw a chair across the room. Spoken/written language is a recent invention, whereas body language has been around for millennia.
