Over the past few years I have become more interested in the mind-body connection; how we seem to retain trauma in different parts of our body – or the area of the brain that relates to that body-part; how different foods affect our moods; how important hormones are and the nutrients our bodies need to produce these and effect the various essential processes. I am fascinated how physical activity can lift a mood; for me digging my allotment is therapeutic and quite literally a grounding experience.
As I wrote recently, many people are disempowered by the way our Health Service works: alleviating symptoms rather than building strong resilient bodies that can heal themselves. I have recently added Juice Plus fruit and vegetable supplements to my already reasonably healthy diet and as my own guinea pig, await the results with eager anticipation! Already, after just 2 weeks I have greater clarity in my thinking and feel more alert. I walk into rooms and remember why I came there ! I have seen the effect on friends and decided I too would like to achieve optimum health and vitality; so much so, I decided to become a distributor and supply the supplements in addition to my counselling practice.
